I made a mistake the other day. When I found the review of Inheriting the Trade on the Oregonian’s website, I made the false assumption that it was also in that day’s newspaper. It wasn’t. That was simply the Oregonian’s blog. The review is in today’s (Sunday) Oregonian in the “Life, Arts, Books” section on page 12.
It’s titled “Heir to slave-trade fortune confronts family’s legacy in eye-opening narrative.”
Even though I’m not an heir to any fortune, I’m pleased that the article is prominently displayed at the top of the page and that it includes reference to my appearance this coming Thursday at 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books in Portland.
