Sundance Wrap-up

Posted January 28th, 2008 by

Here’s an article in the Hollywood Reporter that covers the highlights of Sundance in a succinct and balanced way–in my opinion at least; and certainly in the mind of the article’s author, Kirk Honeycutt. I happen to agree with his perspective regarding Traces of the Trade, one of the highlights for him in the Documentary competition:

Katrina Browne’s “Traces of the Trade: A Story From the Deep North,” a profound film about a family exploring its roots as slave traders and coming to grips with the topic of race in America, hit a raw nerve with audiences. This film very much needs to play at more festivals.
